Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how JobGuide Daily (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit jobguidedaily.com (the “Site”). By using the Site you agree to the practices described here.

Who we are and scope

JobGuide Daily is an independent online publication offering career guidance, job search advice, interview preparation, resume help, and jobs-market news to a global audience. This policy covers the Site only. It does not cover third-party websites, employers, or job platforms we link to, each of which has its own privacy practices.

Information we collect

Information you provide. If you subscribe to our newsletter, complete a form or quiz, or email us, we receive the details you choose to submit — typically your email address and any message content.

Automatically collected data. Like most websites, our servers and service providers record technical information such as your IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, links clicked, and the date and time of your visit.

Cookies and similar technologies. We and our partners use cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies to remember preferences, measure traffic, and deliver and measure advertising. Some of these are set by third parties when their content loads on a page.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to operate and maintain the Site, deliver and improve our articles and tools, respond to your enquiries, send newsletters you asked for, understand which content is useful, display and measure advertising, detect abuse or fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

Where the law requires a legal basis (for example in the EEA and UK), we rely on your consent for optional cookies and marketing email, our legitimate interests for site security and audience measurement, and legal obligation where applicable.

Advertising and third-party partners

The Site is supported by advertising. We work with third-party advertising technology providers, including Google and its AdSense/Ad Manager services, and a customer data platform used to measure engagement and manage ad placements on our pages.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our Site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by Google at Google Ads Settings, and opt out of many other vendors at optout.aboutads.info, optout.networkadvertising.org, or youronlinechoices.eu.

Cookies and your choices

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings, and let you browse in a private mode. Blocking cookies will not stop you reading our articles, but some features and preferences may not work as expected, and you may still see advertising — it will simply be less relevant.

Where required by law, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies and you can withdraw that consent at any time through your browser or the opt-out links above.

Analytics

We use analytics and audience-measurement tools to understand aggregate traffic patterns — for example which guides are read most, how visitors arrive, and how pages perform on different devices. These tools report to us in aggregate and are not used to identify you personally.

Data sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only with service providers who help us run the Site (hosting, email delivery, analytics, advertising), where you have asked us to, or where we are required to by law, legal process, or to protect our rights, users, or the security of the Site. If our business is transferred, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Data retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

EEA and UK residents. Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

California residents. Under the CCPA/CPRA you may request to know what personal information we collect and how it is used and disclosed, request deletion or correction, and opt out of “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

How to exercise your rights. Email us at [email protected] with the request and the email address or details we would need to locate your information. We may ask for information to verify your identity before acting.

International transfers

We operate globally and our service providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for those transfers.

Children's privacy

The Site is intended for adults and job seekers of working age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Third-party links

Our articles link to job boards, employer sites, tools, and other external resources. We are not responsible for the content, practices, or privacy policies of those sites. Review their policies before providing personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
